Please join us April 5, when HGCC welcomes guest speaker Jason Gennings. Jason will be sharing his expertise and techniques for taking images in low light.
Jason is a photojournalist and commercial photographer through his company Lightworks Photography. If you have been at Henry's in Waterloo, you may have seen him there too.
April 17, 2010 is the date for the popular annual seminar put on by the Latow Photographers Guild. This year the featured speaker will be Darwin Wiggett, Canada's Travel Photographer of the Year in 2008.
Check the Latow website for updates on tickets and other details: go to http://latow.com and click on the Seminar link.
Anyone who received a club trophy last year, they need to be returned by April 19, 2010. Please bring them to our next meeting, or if you are not able to attend, contact Kevin or Tina to make alternative arrangements.
Please notice the room changed back to RIM Room 207 for April 19th for our brief Annual General Meeting in which the club financials will be reviewed, plus we will select the 2010/11 Season Themes. Come to the meeting with one theme in mind. We will collect everyones theme suggestions, and pull two from a hat which will be our themes for next season.
To cap off the night, we will review the 2nd in-club and theme competition results.
Hi Everyone, Just received a last minute call from the City of Waterloo - our room has been changed back to RIM Room 207 for this evenings meeting.
With the early spring, the woodland spring flowers are all blooming ahead of schedule. Trilliums are blooming now, and some plants are already past their prime.
Our Hepatica Cup outing is now moved up to Saturday, May 1, 2010.
Location: Huron Natural Area
Address: 801 Trillium Dr., Kitchener
Map Link: http://www.kitchener.ca/pdf/parks/hna_directional_map.pdf
Time: 9:00 AM
We will meet at the picnic area next to the parking lot. Mosquitoes are out too - so I suggest bug spray.
This is the first year we have changed from shooting Hepatica as the subject, to Trillium.
