Musings on film

Since I'm an alumnus of the University of Manitoba, I get the "On Manitoba" magazine, published by the alumni association. This month, the cover features Manitoba photographer Sarah Anne Johnson, who just recently completed her Fine Arts degree at UofM, and to boot had one of her exhibitions purchased outright by the Guggenheim gallery in New York. And the camera Sarah is holding in the cover shot? Why, it's a Mamiya C330F twin-lens reflex with a Mamiya-Sekor 55mm lens - just like the one I own.
I also subscribe to the UK's Black and White Photography, and this month the "kit I cannot do without" column on the last page features 5 film cameras, including a Toyo 45CF 4x5 large format camera - and why yes, that one's just like mine, too.
I think I might be onto something.....
