Our club outing to Wings of Paradise, butterfly conservatory has been confirmed. We have access to the conservatory before the general public, from 9 am until 10 am. During that time, you can use a tripod. At 10 AM the conservatory opens to the general public and tripods will need to be put away, but you can continue to photograph.

The Conservatory is a humid, tropical environment. The extreme hot/cold change can cause fogging with cameras. One option is to place the camera in a zip-lock bag and allow the camera to adjust to the new temperature before removing it from the bag.
