Former HGCC member Justin Fabian (http://justinfabian.com) is helping to organize the Sex and the City charity event in Waterloo next Wednesday evening. Justin says:

Here's a fun opportunity for some HGCC photographers to play the paparazzi for approximately an hour.

A friend is running a charity event next week to raise money for Dressed for Success. Dressed for Success provides professional business attire to low income women to help them achieve success.

The event is a pre-screening of the new Sex and the City movie and after the movie they are doing a fancy red carpet at the Wildcraft. For the red carpet they want to create the feeling of paparazzi, so we are looking for multiple photographers to come out with their cameras and flash. They can be as loud and obnoxious as the real paparazzi and can just bang out lots of shots.

I will be putting the names of everyone that comes out in for a draw for a year subscription to PhotoLife Magazine.

Event Details:

Location: Wildcraft restaurant, King Street North, Waterloo (cross street Blue Springs Drive, near Chapters)
Date: Wednesday, May 26
Time: approximately 9:15pm - 10:30pm

Photographers retain copyright of the photographs they take. Images should have the metadata reflect the photographer's copyright information but with "usage" for the Kavelman Fonn Foundation if they so choose.

The plan is to get participating photographers to select their top 15-20 shots, processed and touched up how ever they desire. Plans include putting together a group Flickr page (or something else) for the charity.
