Yesterday after our meeting I tried taking a few photos, and after a couple of successful shots my camera seemed to 'give up the ghost'. Is there anyone in the club that you could forward this to that miht have the technical expertise to advise me
as to next steps?

I have a Canon 40D that has served me well for many thousands of shots without fail. After a few succesful shots yesterday, without explanation, every time I attempt to take a photo I get the RED Ball with and X in it, with Err 99 underneath it,
followed by SHOOTING IS NOT POSSIBLE. TURN THE SWITCH TO OFF AND ON AGAIN OR RE-INSTALL THE BATTERY. I've tried both several times without success. I've also tried to reattach the lens, as well as installing other lenses, and have tried a
different Compact Flash Card, all without success? Thoughts? Next steps?
