2007 Hepatica Shoot

The Hepatica Shoot is held each spring to bring club members out
into the outdoors and photograph Hepatica flowers, one of the earliest
blooming flowers found in Ontario.

This year's shoot is scheduled for the April 28-29 weekend.
Registration for the shoot will again be co-ordinated by Rick Pierce and
will be held starting at 10 am. on Saturday, 28 April. The location of the
shoot is the FWR Dixon Wilderness Area just outside of Ayr (see map). Dixon is
located on the Brant-Waterloo road near Highway 24A. On some maps this road
is labelled "Township Road 5".

All HGCC members are welcome to attend on either, or both, days.
It is not necessary for photographers to compose all of their Hepatica
images at the Dixon location only; however, eligible entries for the
Hepatica competition must be taken during this weekend, and registration at
the Dixon location is required.

Photographers are encouraged to bring a lunch if you plan to stay
for a time. The Dixon Conservation Area is a beautiful area with many
trails and plenty of birds. So bring some bird seed as well!
